My mean little hen that isn't afraid of NOTHING met her match yesterday... a corn on the cob. She ran from it squaking and acting like I put a snake in her cage. Poor thing was shivering. Because she acts like such a bad azz all the time, I actually thought it was kind of cute she got scared.

Later, I offered her an empty ice cream cone, same reaction. Any of ya'lls babies ever freak out at the introduction of new foods?

It was cute, sad and funny all at the same time. She was FREAKING yet she beats the cat up every time they have a run in. Odd little bird.

She wasnt freaking out when we had pizza! That is certainly one thing she isnt afraid of and you'd better keep the box closed or you'll come back to an uncrusted pizza. She is WAY over weight... poor thing doesnt even have a neck

lol, that's funny, well my IRN is always scared of things at first, but then the curiosity gets to him, so he has to go check it out.

I try introducing new foods either on Hane's kabob or in his treat dish. Then he knows it's food and goes right over to try it out.

Sometimes he freaks about new toys, so I begin now by placing him on the floor near the cage, so he can check it out before it "invades" his new home.

I know what you mean by a bad azz bird. Nothing scares Tony, except squirells. His cage used to be by a window where I had a bird feeder. One day he went flying off his cage and running around trying to find me. He was so freaked he wouldn't go back to his cage. I couldn't figure it out so I moved his cage and was studying the window and looking outside to see if I could see what it was. So with my face 2 inches away from the window the squirrel kamakazies from a tree and smacks the window, gripping the screen with his nails. I jumped about as far back as Tony did.

Other then that day, he is pretty fearless. I can give him new foods, toys, anything and he's not phased at all. In fact the last time he was at the vet for a check up, he stipped right up for the vet and let himself be toweled without a fuss at all. He's such a good bird

Princess I think is fearless

Nothing scares this IRN. I hadn her try corn on the cobb and she ripped into like there was no tomorrow. She even sat there and destryoed the cobb. Shredded the darned thing to bits and proceeded to throw those outisde her cage. Nothing not even the dog fazes her. She doesn't starle easily. She is very steady and will try just about anything once. The only problem is she is as stubborn as a mule. She gets an idea into her head and doesn't let it go! If I tell her she can't do simething all the more reason to try and do it! :? I love her anyway
