Hi everyone. I am new to this forum. We just received our new Olive Green Ringneck baby on Saturday morning. He was very aggressive out of the box, but has seemed to calm down a little. He is still very skittish and runs from us when we try to touch him in the cage. IN addition he is very quiet as he has not made a sound since he arrived. I have made squeaky noises and tried to entice him with ringneck noises from youtube videos and nothing. My question is am I dealing with a sick little bird or this normal because he may a little stressed out from the trip. He doesn't seem very friendly at all even though the breeder stated he was hand fed and tamed. The baby is eight weeks old.

Any thoughts?

I got Ms Sanjay at 8 wks and there wasn't a peep out of him for ages!, all normal, but don't try and touch, until he learns he can trust you.
