IRNS and other birds

I have yet to get my new IRN yet but we may be taking in an Eclectus from someone who cant care for him anymore. I have yet to meet him but would it be suggested that I keep them in seperate rooms? At any time would I be able to house them together if they got along or will the eclectus always be a possible danger to the IRN?
