Since I have got cupcake my cockatiel buttercup has been more loud then usual and it seems like her hormones are running wild. I got buttercup out today and she hid under the couch. I keep cupcake and buttercup in two dif rooms. Cupcake has made himself known
and sit on the top of buttercup's cage let's just say buttercup is
scared to death of cupcake. I am wondering should I put cupcake
and his cage beside of buttercups? I am just wondering what can
help buttercup not chirp so much she has always been quiet
but chirps all day now it seems. If I put cupcake beside of
buttercup will cupcake get attached to buttercup instead of me
will this create a problem? i had another cockatiel before beside
of buttercup and his name was shadow he got real attached to
buttercup if he didn't see her he would scream would this be
the same with cupcake?

lol thats so funny
noodle my female cockatiel hates dodo my irn. shes also really hormonal right now and screams in a loud high pitched voice for no particular reason, hides out in drawers and cupboards.
i hope she doesnt start laying, that will just be too much.

your bird was probably jusy upset that cupcake (hated enemy!) was in the room when she was about to have eggs, although not fertilised ones. sounds really normal, like all animals just want a safe place to have their babies.

did buttercup do this weird thing where she flattened her back and raised her tail and did a funny squeaky thing?

Its strange what goes to gether We have George & Mildred and a old Tom Cat. They never bother each other and how funny to see them both stroll past the Cat as he lays on the rug.
