well iv'e had my birds for about 9 months now, wich makes them a year and 9 months old i bought them from a bird market. in wich tons of birds sell for so cheap. i paid about us 30$ for both of my birds. the birds have never ever had human contact as they were raised and my problem is that no matter what i do, they act like im a bomb about to blow up if i get within 1 foot of thier cage, ive given them so many apples sat next to them and always talk to them. but if i even look at them for to long they get off thier perch and stand on the wall getting ready to fly crazy please help beacause my mom is about ready to let these birds fly out the window as she is tired of cleaning them and getting no reward other than a crazy bird.

dont give up hope they will come around one thing that seems to get my birds attention is to ignore them
seriously if i put my favourite cd on and sing along with it not even looking at them it realy gets there interest up also when things freak them if i eat near them it seems to calm them
also to get there attention food wise try brocolli ive never seen an irn that can resist it
slowly is the trick with getting closer to them
walk slowly if they start to look nervous stop stay there till they calm then move closer untill they are nervous again
and rejoice in any small steps after all the longest journey starts with a single step
good luck & keep us posted :)

my suggestion is
trim the wing, give them playpen, let them settle there, and slowly aproach them with calm voice and fruit...

i found this method is great...
i use this to tame my wild cought "blue crowened hanging parrot" which is known as one of the smallest parrot and the most wild one...
i get him pearch on my finger within 2 hours

give it a try...
