For a few weeks now my son (who is 11 seems naturally a birdy person) has had Rocky upsidedown on his finger! no treat no nothing he just says 1,2,3 and tips his finger so he goes upsidedown and he stays there ,not overly impressed but happy enough to have a look at the world from a different angel for a bit.
NOW i am his mummy he loves me and prefers to be with me but when i get him on my finger (treat in tow and all!) and say 1,2,3 ,wellllll! i dont even get to 2! he growls at me pins his eyes and makes a run up my arm to my shoulder! grumbling all the way up!i even managed to get him to do it once the other day and when he came up right i praised him and gave him a piece of his favorite food ,a peanut and do you know whay he DID!!!!! HE SPAT IT OUT AT ME  and stomped up my arm grunting and even in my ear!
why wont he let me do this!!!!!!
bossy little bugger.
He gives me kisses all the time when i ask. why wont he play tricks with me??

 Aww! I'm sorry I can just picture the little bossy boots. Gosh, I love a birdy temper tantrum.
When Yoda has his temper tantrums he sounds like dog barking, holds his feet high and stomps around, then he'll turn around and say 'Yeeeaaah! (as drawn out as he can) then throw something at me or as far as he can, I am waiting for the cage door to slam next. I cant help but to laugh. They are just like toddlers!
Maybe you could try teaching him something else so you both have your tricks? Start of with asking for a kiss, then add in something else, for example.. turn around then kiss then a treat? Let your son have that trick.
When my sister comes over, she can do different things with Jibby. He has his 'things' he does with both of us. He kind of acts different around different people.

It's funny how the litttle tikes associate certain games and behaviors with their humans. My husband can hold Gigi bird on his back and give him tummy tickles 'til the cows come home, no problem. I can't even get the little bugger to stand on my hand for more than 2 seconds! :)
