I have 2 pairs of IRN's and I wanted to get a new stacker cage for them - I came across this cage here and thought it would work out well and be a new home for my pairs. What do you all think about this cage, will it be a good cage for them or should I go with something else?
The measurements of each cage is 32 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 35 inches high.

Hey Meredith,
Those cages are not bad; however, I find that ringnecks need a bit more room to breed successfully. Personally from my experience, ringnecks in smaller cages that are lower to the ground did not produce fertile clutches or had low hatch rates. To remedy this problem I suspended the cages about 8-9 feet high and BINGO—we got results. I guess it has something to do with the ringneck feeling secure about its environment. With that being said, the bottom cage will probably yield bad results due to the fact it’s lower to the ground.
The cages you have selected are very good and I see them a lot in pet shops, but I would personally go with a larger flight cage per pair. Although I believe your ringnecks could be happy in that cage I tend to always say, “Go with what your budget can afford (size).”
On a more positive note, those powder coated cages are really nice and easy to clean—which is a plus. I also believe they have the same model cages that are side-by-side—those might be a better option.
Hope this helps,
Imran

Right now I can't get much bigger then that - I was wanting a stacker as it will take up less space and the side by side ones will take up to much space. I am currently living in an apartment and have limited space - however, I will be getting a house in a year or more and can then upgrade to larger single flights for my breeding pairs.
I was thinking of putting my young pair in the bottom as they as still babies (under a year) and will not be reasy to breed for at least another 2 years and by that time I will have a house and be able to give them a large flight to breed and will also take away of the problem of them being to low and not wanting to breed. I have one other pair that is at breeding age and I was going to put them in the top cage and see what happens.
Do you think this will work? Is my plan pretty good or should is just get a completely different cage?
