Wild Indian Ringnecks!

Post by kellybel1 »

Hello, I am Kellybel & I live in Qatar with my husband since last June. We are originally from Texas. About 6 mths ago, I caught a very beautiful Fischer’s Lovebird outside my villa. Got him a nice cage & I work with him daily. He will now stay on my finger while I take him out of his cage....and no longer bites me. His name is Charliel....I just adore him! My husband calls me the bird whisperer due to my way with birds. Once, I rescued a chicken hawk that was trapped in the carport out in the country & before my husband could share his fears, I had already caught & consoled the bird....then released him back to his world.

NOW there are 4 Indian Ringneck parrots coming to my bird feeder!! They are absolutely B~E~A~U~tiful! I feel SO special that they have found my feeder! So today, I found this website cuz I just had to identify them. Plus I wanted to find out what foods would keep them coming back! I have never seen this breed of bird before! I took some photo's but I can not figure out how to load them on this website. :( I have really enjoyed looking at everyones birds......they are magnificent!! :P

Welcome kellybel1 :)
I live in Australia and have quite a few Ringnecks. I think they are great even if they are not the cuddliest of birds. Charlie sounds like an adorable little bird. Lucky you found him/her before something bad may have happened.

Looking forward to hearing your stories on charlie :D lol
