:( I need some help, i have tried what everyone has suggested but my ringneck just seems to get more scared every day, we have had him for about 4 months and tried just about everything from hands on to gentle talking everyday, tried to hand feed him by him coming to me. He doesn't bite he just sits outside his cage on a branch all day and i hate seeing him look bored or scared whenever we go near him, what am i supposed to do so he stops being scared? The person we got him off said he was about 6 months old so now he would be about 10 months.

If you want my opinion, I think maybe the birdie is a little timid still..
By using clicker training, not only do you build up a really good trusting relationship with your feathered friend, but you also get to reinforce good behaviour and will grow up to be a really good bird and who can play quietly by himself..
The clicker training can show you how to traing your birdie to rollerskate, play basketball and loads of other stuff.. yes, it takes patience and persistence, but in my opinion, its worth it and pays off..
This will keep your birdie busy while you are not there to keep it busy..
