sounds like what poop looks like in the water cup...I could be wrong. I am unsure about birds and worms.

Do not try to treat worms with over the counter wormers. Have a vet test for worms first then and only then worm the bird.
It just sounds like a turd floating in the water.

it actually moves by itself?!?
...oooh yuck!!!!
heh heh.
If it does it is a worm, if not, then a poo. The poo part of poos looks like a green-brown wormy-thing (depending on what has been eaten recently) and the wees part is usually white - although in babies seems to be clearish and quite viscous...

My daughter's starling had a round worm once. We took a picture of it and emailed it to the local vet school at the college near us. They easily identified it and recommended medicine for us.

And worms are white, not brown. ^_^
Tapeworms often break off in segments, so they'll be little white moving things. Roundworms are like skinny earthworms (or angel hair pasta), but again they are white.
Edit: :p whitish

If it helps... here are the pictures of the worm we had that the vet said was a round worm. Glad I saved them. It did indeed move and was very much like angel hair pasta. GAG!
