First Ringneck - Cheeko

Hi everyone. yesterday my boyf and I bought our first ringneck. He/she is 10 months old and he is a dark green/grey colour. We were told he was green X cinnamon but not sure. Anyway, I dont know much about them so thats why im here, feel free to give any suggestions! I was wondering how long it usually takes for the ring o come through on the males, and also ive noticed alot of IRN have black eyes... Cheeko has blue with black pupil (is this what pinning is?) thing is theyre always like this. Im trying to get some decent pics to upload, a bit hard when hes in the cage though! Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
