A friend at work recently cut down two olive trees (dont know what kind of olive, i guess the ones that bear fruit) and has offered me the branches as perches for Dodo and my other birds. Living in an apartment in the city, things like real wood arent easy to come by.
I was wondering if anyone knew if it was safe to use olive wood as a perch for parrots...?
I googled it but could only find information on russian olive wood.

I don't know what the trees are called here in Australia. I go by which trees the wild birds go to, and figure them safe to use... I have heaps of Lorikeets in my backyard.
