They are now chasing me around the house and when they are locked in the cage they call out to me. All for the apple juice. I walk in the back door from work and its like alarms going off, as soon as they see me. I cant pick up a glass with out them noticing.

:D :D :D

You should have given it to them in their own dishes, LOL!

I don't give my birds fruit juice... because it's mostly sugar anyway. So of course they love it. But if our birds see me coming with their veggie dishes, you better watch out. Tsume get's so excited you can't handle him, dancing and kissing the dish and food you hold out for him. And Hane just digs his head in and doesn't surface for air.. :?

fruit juices ( without adding sugar ) have similar ingredients with the whole fruits except fibres and also irns usualy dont eat but express juice from fruits,
anyway fruits contains most sugars, few protein and only traces of fat.
i dont give to my birds juice because they didnt drink it.
Few times i add juice to a softfood and they eat it so much.

The rest of the fruit is what helps slow the sugar absorption, not to mention it takes a lot longer for a bird to juice a fruit himself and he gets much less.

Mine will normally eat the fruit itself, except oranges. But they don't get much fruit anyway. xD
