only feeding seed?

if you only feed and irn seed will that make them more fat than if you give them fruits and veggies and seed

Yes it can make the bird over weight and they can also develop a disease that's call fatty liver disease.

Also, the number one nutritional defeciency in pet birds is vitamin A since seed has so little of it. Bright orange veggies easily remedy this with their beta-carotene which is the precurser to vitamin A (the body uses it to create it's own vitamin A).
Carrots, sweet potatos and yams are very high in beta-carotene/vitamin A.
Other veggie sources:
Kale
Spinach (feed spinach in moderation, it can bind to calcium)
Broccoli
Peas
Asparagus
Squash - summer
Green Pepper
Seeds are important, as it does have some nutrition and it supplies some good fat. But as the only food in a diet, it is very lacking in important nutrients.
A bird on seed might survive, but it will not thrive. And it will likely die younger than it should.

Peas - they just love peas!!!
lots and lots of peas!!
they love opening them - and ones in pods even better
and corn
and Max used to love beetroot - made his poos red though
and wholegrain toast - love picking the seeds out
and tearing into broccoli and apples
and steak, chicken, lettuce, eggs (good), loves a glass (well, spoon) of milk in the morning with his sultana bran....got to keep them regular

Avocados are poisonous to all birds - and myself, unfortunately...
I feed Paulie everything... That's what I love about the IRN... They're absolute garbage bags.
The only seed I feed is sunflower for treats... Otherwise he get pellets, and a selection of 4 different ones I buy for the more picky birds.
He gets all sorts of vegetables and fruit - more vegies than fruit. Also cereal, chicken bones/meat/eggs...

Avocado has toxic elements that will poison a parrot's internal organs.

I believe it was Mik that said sunflower seeds made her Baby aggressive.
This isn't the case for me. But too high a ratio of pellets for Hane and he gets testy. Could just be that he likes his veggies more, lol.

All my birds love sunflower seeds, but only get them as treats.
Sunflower seeds are high in fat, and I suppose birds can get addicted to them (like people getting addicted to junk food). Maybe that can be the reason for aggression.
If they eat too many of them, they won't get a balanced diet, as they'll just wait till they get some more.
