Dear All, Hi, I am new here. I have a 6 month old Lutino IRN. Its feathers are a little scruffy now. At what age does a young IRN start moulting? Is there a pattern? Can someone help me out here thanks.

Their first real molt comes about 18 to 20 months old. Birds molt and grow feathers every day but an adult bird will have a hard molt once a year after breeding season and a small one or 2 in between, really depends what kind of climate they live in and if they are indoors or outdoors.
