Mine just went through a moult. He is a very healthy 4yo male and in the last month has had chipping at the end of his beak. Now that his moult is over and he is sliding it up against his perch now and then its back to normal. Smooth and fresh.

It it is just the red towards the tip if the beak and the clear / tinted part is in good health I would not worry :D Its just what they do. So long as there is a healthy sign of a point / tip to the edge of the beak its all good :D

Beaks grow like a tooth of a rabbit. Have to be kept under control or they grow too long. I guess its just a part of their cycle.

If he isnt moulting or its pretty severe, is he getting light? Or he may need a calcium perch or supplement.

The only reason you really notice it with lutinos / albinos is the fact that when they chip, its a solid change in appearance, and clearish.. whereas the non ino based mutations have darker edging. Less obvious.
