To me returning to work. I have a job interview on Monday. Excited, a little scared, been 12 years out of the workforce looking after my children and birds. Going to be a big change if i land this job. Its a great position right in town (home for lunch etc.

) as an Employment Consultant full time. They are very impressed so far with my phone screeing and resume, so fingers crossed. Not many professional style jobs in such a small country coastal town such as ours. Mostly part time check out chick, part time wastress style of work.
I have contacted my breeder friend Erik and he is more than happy to take on any babies my pairs may have and hand raise them for me. He will benefit too from being able to keep some for himself, and I will still get my baby pet quaker.
Sure will miss raising the babies myself, but of course i can go visit them any time I want
Will still have plenty of time for the site too, although not as much as I do now
Will be great to have extra income too, get more things done around the place, and get hubby that dream car he has always wanted.
Anyway not jumping the gun, may not get it, just keeping all my bases covered.
Wish me luck on monday

You will wow them, Ang. Just be sure to take all the things you have been doing while you have been working for "nothing" and put them in terms of the work force in your interview. You have collected a lot of skillls that are really valuable, and interviewers don't think about it unless you hit them over the head with the old 2 x 4. Will be thinking good thoughts on Sunday night for you!!

will do ! .. thanks
went out and invested in some new clothes just for the occassion and possibly future interviews .. Got some great bargains at Target. A pair of black work pants were $39.95 rung up for $17 and a beautiful knitted bit buttoned over Jacket was $89 down to $54 rung up for $39.95 .. then because hubby works for coles as a storeman I got a 5% staff discount on top of that .. woohooo !
Hair cut tomorrow and a silver rinse to brighten up my hair, repaint my nails, pluck my brows, a little wax here and there

and will be set to go .. even if I don't get the job, it's alot of fun preparing, being a homemaker run around mum doesnt give you much of an excuse for all this pampering.

What an adrenaline rush . I think the interview went really well. It was full on and intensive, but I think David and Ingrid were rather impressed with my abilities and past experience.
They are interviewing for the next two days and they will be calling for a second round of interviews on friday or so, which will be held in pakenham with David and his Manager, omg! more intensive target based style of interview. The adrenaline rush while driving for an hour then being interviewed and driving an hour home again, sheesh. Thats saying I get called for second round.
Anyway will let you know friday or so whats the go ..
Thanks for being here guys for me to get this all out, nice to have a place to put it down

There are a million reasons not to get a job -- my cynical soul always guesses it was already promised to someone and they had to interview anyway. Don't take it personally.....at least you got some new clothes out of it <ROFL> Next time will go better!

I'm sorry. I have been trying to get a part time job one day a week to suppliment my income. I finally found the perfect job, was hired, trained for one night then fired the next day as the girl I was replacing decided she needed those hours.*%$#@!( ^+&%=

Yeah thanks for that Cats, I was thinking being a private company under contract by the government I figure they had inside people already lined up, but had to interview for legal reasons.
I'll get there. I trust God has something different/better planned for me.

I am actually looking into study while I hunt, I want to do certificate IV in Multimedia. Alot of it I have taught myself over the years, but stuff like really good flash animation, fine tuning my webpage designing, desktop publishing etc. will be great and to add a certificate so that I can say that I not only know it, but i have official training will be a huge plus.

thanks matty, will have to have a talk to you about it all when I get time. I have taught myself alot over the years, I have a good knowledge of how html works, I know pretty much how to use front page (but it sucks really) I modify its coding, I know about hosting, uploading to servers, love photoshop, would really love to get into desktop publishing or just publishing of some nature. My methods are crude but they work.
I designed this church website. the coding may suck , but its basic and it works.
http://www.archiescreek.com
Anyway, my other real love would be to run a pet store with rescues etc. .. sigh!
