I had a refrigerator decor that you can stick on the refrigerator door, it seems chewable and soft. Are they paint safe? or they might contain lead, zinc, etc that are dangerous for birds. I will take off the magnet first before giving to the bird. But I haven't give it yet, I want to know first if it is safe or not. Because Jenny my IRN really want those decor, I didn't allow her to play with it yet.

There's really no way of knowing without conducting chemical analysis of each. They weren't meant to be chewed and eaten by birds so I say to be on the safe side, don't give them to your prized pets. Just my opinion.

No I wouldnt let the birds have them either, There is heaps of bird toys you can buy or make for them that will be safe.

I would not let them chew them. You don't know what chemicals or paint is used on them.

I know its a pain and all not knowing if paints ect are safe but its better to be safe than sorry. I have put about 20 hrs into removing all the paint of a metal frame because I didnt know what type of paint was used on it, blood and scars and all its still worth knowing my babies will be safe.
