Hey everyone, I'm very excited that I found this site. I've owned a Ringneck for around 5 years but he just officially moved in with me (stayed with my parents while I was in college and getting settled afterward). His name is Indie, he's totally my baby. I'm not sure on his age, he was given to me from his original owner who ended up marrying and having a child and Indie got extremely jealous and wouldn't stop screaming. We used to 'bird sit' him and when they decided to give him up, we were the first people they looked to. After about 3 years with us, we found a Cockatiel in my brother's backyard, named him Daytona, and he moved in with Indie and they got along quite well. I think Indie is going through some separation anxiety, he's been with me for about 3 weeks now, and just in the past few days has quit talking completely when he used to say about 50 words/phrases. anyone had this happen to them? I'm not sure what to do about it... anyway, glad to be on the site, and if you have any advice, my ears are wide open!

Welcome to the family

.
Just love him and he will come around. It will take a while to get use to new surroundings and you as the new fulltime owner. But it will happen. The talking will be the last thing to return after he settles in, so just love him and be patient.

I would love to put up a picture, haven't quite figured out how yet... I couldn't imagine having 5 birds to manage at once! My one was demanding enough. Kudos to you!!!!
