Wanted to introduce myself

Post by Sophiesmom »

Hello everyone. Ive been owned by fids for several years now and happy to report that I have the pleasure of adding an irn to my flock. We are adopting her next weekend and super excited. Weve named her sophie. She is 2 years old and from what ive been told, has a great personality. Her previous owner was an elderly man who has passed away from cancer. We are doing all the reading we can on these wonderful birds. Any tips from everyone on how to make her feel welcomed would be great. I look foward to meeting everyone here.

Welcome to the flock. You will find lots of great info & folks here. We look forward to hearing more about your new baby (and the rest of the family)

Thanks everyone! She is tame from what I am told. She also is a very good eater and loves to shred toys. I had lost my dear gaia girl last year. She was a rescued pionus that was in the last stages of liver disease, a disease which did end her life. It was very very hard on us and to be honest I wasnt looking for another bird right now, but isnt that how it always happens? I am excited to share my life again with another parrot and cant wait to learn everything about her. I promise to share pics once I take them.
Thanks again for the welcome!
