What type of wood for breeding boxs?

Hi guys,
I'm hoping my lovebirds are going to breed soon and I'm trying to find them a breeding box but they're all too small. I want like an English budgie breeding box.
So I'm thinking of making my own but I'm not sure if you need a specific type of wood to make them out of. Anyone know?
