Standing on Wings?

Yep, thats right. My Jibby lately has been accidently standing on his wing! Usually while preening, he will 'accidently' stand on his flight feathers and growl. Hes not clipped and hasn't been in years so hes got those long flight feathers. Hes done this almost everyday lately!
It really annoys him and he can't seem to understand what hes doing until I go and help him. He just sits there and growls something shocking.
I don't want him to break a wing or anything! It looks quite uncomfortable having his wing bent like that. I don't want to clip because he really hasn't had them done in years and is not a problem behavior wise. I don't think I could take away his flight.

What can I do?
Anyone had this problem? I've never heard of this as a problem.

I have never heard or witnessed this. What an individual character you have there, I actually can't help but giggle thinking about how this might look. But I do understand your concern. I have nothing to offer as to how to help him, except let him work it out for himself. <action> Turns to the group .. anyone !?

Thats ok Angie.. My Jibs seems to get himself into these strange things. He does look a lil silly just standing there.. I don't know how he does it. But he just does.
I was doing the dishes the other day and heard him growling something shocking. I looked over and I could see nothing wrong. Upon closer inspection.. he was all twisted up and he looked a bit confused. I just picked his feet up and off his wings and he was fine again.

But now its happened alot of more. He just sits there! Do you think he's attempting to get attention in this strange way? Or he really is twisted and needs help? hehe.. get it?.. ok.. that was silly.

He probably shocked and amazed himself the first time he did it and now its a game, addiction kinda thing. It feels strange for him and in his way he enjoys doing it, a little like a kid pulling faces or a toddler that bends over and looks between their legs ?? what do you think ? *shrug* just a thought .. lol

Oh my that Jibs is a special one...
I cant offer any advice just that if hes fine in every other aspect maybe let him work this one out himself...?
Maybe hes training to be a birdie contortionist??

Hehe

I think maybe I just think about why he does things a lil too much. Sometimes I just sit and watch and try to figure him out. It really confuses me.

You do have a unique bird there! First he feeds his bell, and then he stand on his wing, he sure is a unique bird, and I love that!
