Hen!!!
I just this minute had the result emailed to me, just in time for Gandalf's (hmmm funny name for a girl lol) first birthday tomorrow.

Congrats on knowing she is a girl. A very cute girl at that.
I think I want to get mine DNA also. Who did you use?

I used Avian Biotech, not sure if they have a lab in the U.S, I think they do. It only took 4 days to get the result, they emailed it to me as soon as the test was done and then they will send me the paperwork next week.

What does submitting for a dna test entail? The last time I heard about this many years ago, without giving blood, you had to pluck some feathers or something? Is this the case? (owie!)

You can have DNA both ways. Some clip a toenail and get blood and smear it on a test strip or you can pluck a couple feathers. No test is more accurate then the other.
