Hi I'm Peter a newbie with birds. I actually acquired mine thru a friend who migrated. I'm the 3rd owner as far as I know and it seems that my bird "Manolo" is a very rarely socialized bird. maybe left in the cage for display purposes only. I'd assume he's roughly 10 years old so this means that I need a lot of working to do to tame and train him. so i'd really needs help with you guys! hope to learn a lot from this forum! :D

Welcome to the flock and
good for you for taking an adult bird that may
need training. Glad the Manolo found a good home
with you.

I also could not get any of the other pics. So when you have a chance I'd love to see them. He looks beautiful.

Hope all goes well with your training.

What a cutie! What is he eating, is it a fig?
Guys, you just need to go up a level to see the album-- try http://s172.photobucket.com/albums/w21/aiwasadik/pets/
So, I have to know the story behind the name....surely you did not name that hunky bird after pricey shoes (so my mind adds Blahnik automatically)
Welcome!

It's a grape

I was able to view the pics. He's gorgeous. And when I viewed them as a slide show they were enlarged and I could see he was enjoying a grape, one of my Priya's favorite.

nice to have a very warm welcome here! didn't expect to have so many replies! it shows that this is a good community of bird lovers. anyways, for those asking why I named him Manolo...actually the previous owners named him Birdie which is quite obvious (duh!) so I decided to rename him. chose Manolo coz from my native dialect, manol, means naive or innocent. coz thats how he is, it's scared of people!
