mkay, Willie & Santana have been "going at it" since yesterday morning ... i wuz sitting here at the 'puter which is right beside their cage & i hear all this cooing & stuff ... so i look up & see ... OMG!! they're just gettin their groove on right in front of God & everybody!! just thought that i'd let y'all know ... it's too funny cuz i thought breeding season wuz in spring ... ummmm, DUH!! Willie's acting like an 18 year old boy & Santana's just being cool. it's really fun to observe them ... a human guy could learn alot about foreplay from these babies!!

No love going on here. Priya just knocked Nila off my other shoulder. She runs around the back of my head and tries to get him.

oh yeah ... they're both 3.5 yrs old & Santana wuz a breeder before i got her, but she only laid 2 eggs in her last clutch, so that's why i wound up with her ... she needed to removed from her mate & i wanted a "buddy" (HMPH!) for Willie ... SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!! yes, i've had her a nesting box, but not set up with wood shavings 'til this a.m. ... i just had NO idea (1) that they'd ever be this close; and (2) that they'd actually be doin the "dirty-bird" (as Karen Walker sez ). i really didn't want 'em to breed or didn't care one way or the other, but i reckon there's not alot i can do since Willie began tearing at my hand like a wildman about a week ago!! sheeeeesh, i just got Santana where she'll step up & got my hand healed up from that blood bath & believe me, it WUZ a blood bath ... now Willie's in frikkin heat & my hand looks like rare steak again!!! wauuuuuughhhhh!!!! oh well, i'm keepin my digits AWAY from that beak for awhile!!
