I am making a pinata for fiona out of hay and I want to decorate it with food, feathers, etc.....can I use honey for glue? I also thought about peanutbutter, but thought honey would work better

What a cool idea! I wanna see the birdie pinata. Not sure about the honey, have seen folks say it is problematic, just like with an infant, but really don't know. Guess flour and water paste like we had in grade school would work?

ya i thought about flour and water also, but I'm not making a paper pinata....the skeleton is made of weaved hay (treats are inside here) and I want to glue things like dried fruit and nut shells on to it. It's supposed to be a bird so I want to decorate it like one......I definitly have a new found respect for basket weavers, etc. The skeleton only took a couple of hours, but it's a really rough looking bird. Oh well she's going to tear it up anyway.
