how do now how old my irn is. i've had it for about a year and it hasn't got a ring yet

They don't attain a ring until 3 years old.

I beg to differ. my vet said that if my bird has not gotten a ring by the age of 1 year, then its not gonna get one.. hene, we assumed that Sky is a girl

Oh, I haven't heard of rings before age 3 yet. That's interresting. Thanks for notifying me of that little error

lol.. I dunno how true it is.. just letting you know what my vet told me..
