MY NAME IS VASILIS AND I COME FROM GREECE.
I HAVE A 5-MONTHS OLD GREEN RINGNECK. I DON'T KNOW IF ITS A MALE ONE OR A FEMALE AND ITS NAME IS PEACKO.
I HAVE PEACKO FOR THREE MONTHS AND IT IS VERY FRIENDLY.
I LET PEACKO OUT OF THE CAGE FOR 3-4 HOURS DAILY.
REACKO ALWAYS WANTS TO BE WITH US (ME, MY WIFE AND MY SON), PLAYS WITH US SOME GAMES WITH CARDS, BALLS e.t.c., LOOKS FOR US WHEN WE ARE IN OTHER ROOMS.
WE HAVE ITS CAGE IN THE LIVING ROOM. THE CAGE IS VERY TALL AND PEACKO CAN'T FLY BACK TO IT BY ITSELF.
OUR ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT PEACKO MAKES **** ALL OVER THE RLACE.
PLEASE, IF THERE IS ANYBODY WHO KNOWS WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT, LET US KNOW.
(SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH)

Hi and welcome. Peacko is 5 months old and young enough to try a flight suit. It fits on the under side of the body and has a little pouch at the rear end to catch the pooh. I've never tried them cause my birds would just chew them off. I carry a tub of unsented baby wipes around with me but it always seems like I always have a green streak running down my back. :D Call me weird but I don't mind the poop!!

you can 'potty' train your bird...everytime it goes to poop take it to a peice of paper and praise it. You can tell when they are going to go, they do a little wiggle...it takes time to learn this so have patience!

Welcome to our community! Post pictures if you can...

Welcome!!!

I would definitely try the potty training. They say the bird will go about every 30 mins so after he's out for about 30 mins take him to where you want him to go and wait there with him until he does then say the word you want to use so he associates the word with the act of pooping and give him a little treat, watch him and in 30 mins try it again and say the same word and reward him, with praise and/or a treat. It shouldn't take too long for him to associate the word praise and treat with the deed.
I find that I'm the problem here I forget to watch him and he goes before I remember to get him and take him to his spot. So what I am advising I have just read about not accomplished
I have noticed though that Nila rarely every poops on me. If I have him on my shoulder he fidgets then he will finally nip my ear because he knows I'll take him off my shoulder and as soon as I get him on my hand he'll poop. So I think he's kind of trying to tell me he's smarter than I am.
:D
