Since I have had my IRN, I have researched everything about Parrots especially the IRN. I want to learn all I can. I read about the idea that you should give your parrot a detox treatment now and then to keep them healthy and as a preventative. But my avian vet doesn't think it is necessary unless your Parrot gets into something. Have any of you heard about the wild Macaws that eat ( Bentonite Clay ) to detox after eating poisonous palm nuts? Should I keep Bentonite clay for emergancies? I researched it on google.

I wouldn't mess around with detoxics...if something happened to your fid be sure you have a vet (and an emergency one you can go to) they know how to give things like that...only thing I really have around here is aloe vera...and that's mostly for me :D

Thanks Dani, I think you are right. We have ( fid ) proofed the house as much as possable to keep Luna safe, becouse he runs around the house. But I could do some harm trying to detox if he doesn't need it. It is helpful to hear from other IRN parants.
