wow!! i've been trying for weeks to get in here & i couldn't!! i had to do a PC restore, then i switched (at last) to cable internet ... i thunk it wuz just ME ... forever banned cuz of my LONGING for hi-speed

i've been trying even MORE over the last 24 hours cuz i wanted to see that all y'all and/or us who're affected by these STINKIN hurricanes are safe ... it seems like we're only gonna have some SERIOUS rains/winds here, altho we've made arrangements to haul a$$ if the need arises

know that i'm thinkin of y'all even when i ain't posting!!

Nothing in Tampa either. I just got back from J'ville and nothings been touched. More went down in J'ville... a little wind and rain.

Regular everyday (literally) summer storms are much worse than that. In Fla you can almost set your watch to a rain shower between 3 and 5... everyday in the summer.

Keeps it nice and miserable.

well, Ernesto went right on by us in the SC SlowCountry!! we had a VERY faint drizzle & just enuff "breeze" to bring the temps down to around NINETY!!! unfortunately, it looks like the Upcountry got SLOSHED & NC & VA coasts are getting hammered.

I'm glad to read that all of you are ok! I hate weather! Mom Nature sure can put it to us if she wants. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers for safety until the season ends. We'll be having snow soon. Oh the thought. I do so dread winter.

Nila likes to hear the rain, I take him out on the lanai in the afternoons for the showers and he loves to look around. It doesn't seem to frighten him just facinate him. His cage is by the windows in the front of the house and before it rains we usually get a good wind going. And the wild birds will be at the feeder getting a good meal before the rain. He just stands on his play gym and talks and watches. It's better than tv for him. Birds have such good eyesite, they seem to take everything in. And when things are blowing he's funny to watch as he watches everything moving.

I hope your winter is as mild as our hurricain season has been so far.
