Behaviour of IRN on losing a partner

Hello there,
im new to this site and i found it very useful. I had two IRNs and they were 4 months old. One of them flew away, and the other one is left alone. I wanted to know that will the left one get sad and gloomy without the partner??? shud i get another one or is it ok for it to stay alone?

If you want another bird, get one. Otherwise, wait it out. The other bird seems to be doing fine. Ringnecks are some tough cookies.
Im sure you play with your bird alot. Thats what important. Having two ringnecks can sometimes hender training. If the other ringneck isnt tame, you'll begin to notice a difference now that he is alone... he now needs you.

Also remember that irn’s in the wild do not mate for life they tend to be a more solitary bird. The bird will not have as strong of a connection to the other, as say a bird that mates for life. Again you will have to go through an adjustment faze, also the bird may bond with you to help get over its loss and ultimately you may decide you do not want another bird to spoil that. It is up to you how you deal with the situation getting another bird may not be the answer, what if one of them decides they don’t like the other bird. You would then have two birds that demand your time and attention but on a one on one basses. So if I were you I would give it some time but who knows only you can decide for you.

As true...IRNs are more of a solitary bird...they do not pair for life...if you want another get one but don't get it as a companion for the first one

yes i think its better for me to spend some time with my irn and play with it. It's a playful loving creature and loves to be among ourselves. the other one that left was quite wild and didn't like anyone to go near it neither it had a very good relationship with "nibbles" (it loves to nibble a lot so i call it by this name), so it all happened for good i guess.
