Question about changing Kiwi's living quarters

Hello all...need some advice. We are trying to get Kiwi to move so to speak out of his small cage into much larger quarters. We have set the new cage right next to his current cage, put food and toys in there to try and spark his interest but to no avail. Do not want to put him in there would rather let him move in by himself. The only reason why I do not want to do that is we do not know what his "history" is since he has been bounced from home to home. Any advice would be appreciated!!!! Thanx....TSTRM

IRNs are very territorial so I wouldnt bet money he will chose to change cages. They tend to bond well to where ever they are.

You simply need to put the bird in the bigger, better cage and get the other one out of sight.

You own the bird, he doesnt own you. :D

Tough love!
