I live in Los Angeles, and this summer has been the hottest ever! My IRN, PeeGee, normally has her own room outside (a converted garage), but it was getting so hot out there, I decided to bring her inside. I didn't know how she would get along with my dog, but so far so good.

She seems happy, everybody giving her snacks all day. Yesterday I caught my secretary feeding Peegee chocolate pudding!! You should have seen it, I didn't know these birds can actually lick it up with their tongues, like an ice cream cone! I heard that chocolate can be deadly, so I told her never to do that again (but the bird was crazy about the stuff).

Now everyone is begging me to keep her in here permanently. She is so amusing and clever, we just love her. Even when she has PMS and gets crabby. These little birds have such a big personality, don't they?

Lots of personality and how.
Just remind everyone in the office no chocolate,
no avocado, no caffiene and not a lot of people high fat high salt
snacks. You might want to get some bird treats or sunflower seeds
so they can feed the bird something that's good for it.
And enjoy your new office buddy.

MMMmm Mmm Mmm. Huge no no

It has been SO hot here in San Diego also. We have left a fan on during the night to keep the air circulating ( we don't have air-conditioning). Both birds (Lilly & Pickle) LOVE vanilla ice cream. They are so cute licking it. They also LOVE carmel!!!After a carmel treat they will drink from our glass(water)

Cute names are they a green (pickle) and a white (Lily) or Yellow (Lily)?
Or did color have nothing to do with the names?

It has been very hot here in sw Fla to. My bird lives in the house because it's too hot for me to be outside with him. I did take him for a walk today and it went well.
