when ever me or my girls get close to suki's cage he trys to bite and when i'm changing his water and food he trys to attack! he is very aggrestive and my kids are afraid to be around him. i haven't been able to handle him at all and i don't want it to get too far gone where i don't be able to handle him at all. i'm afraid if he gets to that point he will be miserable in my home. please help!

that sounds like bluffing, and it sounds like its working.try not to flinch or move away when suki does that,at the moment he/she is getting you to stay away.just remember that it doesnt hurt forever if you do get bitten(just hurts for a little while) and maybe take the bottom 2 dishes out of the cage so then he gets the hang of you filling the dishes.and talk to suki when you approach so then they get the hang of what you are doing.

Type 'bite' 'biting' 'aggression' into the search engine at the top of this page, Literally hundreds of posts will come up.

Ringnecks are naturally aggressive so you can imagine this topic has been beat to death.

After and during your research, please ask any questions you may have.

Good Luck! He'll tame down but in the meantime he doesnt need to be around kids. Also, remove the bird from the cage before sticking your hands in there as they are very territorial.

YOU ARE THE BOSS. Earn your rank and go with it. It must be earned... ringnecks 'give' very little.
