HEy all So I got my first african parrot. His name is Buddy and he is a 4 month old Red Belly. I have spent about three weeks going everyday to the Pet store, which is the same place where i Got Dude MY iRn. Buddy sure was mean at first, so much so I almost got a Senegal instead. But the price was right and Buddy warmed up fast to me, well at least so far. I have not spent much time with him yet because i got him like 10 minutes before I went to work and had a 8 hr shift and got off at 12 am. It is Funny right now, while i was loading the pic on the computer, I have buddy on a perch on top of my "Computer Tower", and Dude on his towel like usual. Dude usualy stays on his towelbecause that is what he is trained to do, but now all he seems to want to do is go up to Buddy. I am not afraid of my Dude hurting Buddybecause my Dude seems to like everything until he has a reason not to. I even let my 2 yr old neice hold him and he was great she even picked him up from the floor and pet his head. I am worriedhowever, about Buddy hurting Dude because of what I have read about this particular Genus attacking other birds even ones much bigger like Cockatoos. We will see how they get along. And Sorry About the last few pics it is buddy swinging on his perch he is so playful. I am so Excited I fell like a Lil kid in a candy store with a grand to burn!!!!

Cool bird. Never seen one before. He looks inquisitive. I bet he will be a great bird providing many years of love, fun, and the occasional headache.

Thank you much, I guess his color is supposed to get brighter as he goes on. BTW HE totally gets along with DUDe and I think that dude is in love. All dude does is kiss him and turn his head sideways while pinning his eyes. Buddy Just stands there and preens!!! Buddy is still adjusting and wont face me while I hold him!

No he is pretty much full size, his color will become deeper and it will look like he is wearing a grey suit with a red vest and green slacks! He is similar to the senegal parrot, but the red belly is supposed to be more intelligent and a real trouble maker which all sounds like fun to me
