Post by Bird crazy »

Ok, that wasn't so bad, but next time I'll adjust the images down a little so they fit on the screen.

So good to see a blue that has all it's feathers! I wish my Kozmo still looked that good *sad eyes* Maybe one day we'll get her back to normal.

You have an absolutely BEAUTIFUL baby there! Thanks for sharing those photos!

Nila heard about the possiblity of a girl friend and decided he better start getting ready, so we took a shower and now he's preening.

We had a little english budgie Buddy here this weekend and Nila did not like him, he seemed to enjoy his chirping and talking and even seemed to be chirping back but boy did he get mad when Buddy got on his cage, did his best to get him before I could. Buddy is a shoulder cuddler and Nila would stare him down every time he got on my shoulder.

So lets hope if he meets another ringneck he'll play nice.
Thanks for all the good feedback about my pretty little boy (according to the dna test) little girl (according to his behavior). :?

Yea I am wondering, how old is he? He has no ring yet?

Oh Baby is such a flirt that they MUST get along! Well, actually...she is a lil princess and a brat, though (I think she's starting to get in that stage ). Wow, I really hope she.....is a ....she!! I can't wait 2 weeks!! That place better hurry up on the DNA results!! Plus, don't want to let Nila down

The picture of Kozmo in my signature is about 9 months old. She unfortunately is a feather chewer. I'll have to take some pictures and post them. I'm hoping to help her grow out of it, but it's hard. She's got anxiety problems unfortunately.

She's still full of an absolutely neat personality though, and I wouldn't change that for the world...

Nila's only 4 months old and not too afraid of anything. He charges full ahead at every new toy. Had a dog here this weekend and he got on his playgym and leaned as far over as he could in an attempt to get the little black nose. Figured out in about 10 minutes if he threw his foot toys the dog would come and run and get them. I've really enjoyed watching him learn new things.

The only thing he doesn't like is if I wear black pants. He looks me over head to toe and when I have black pants on he backs up away from me.
Really funny. You think they wouldn't notice but they see everything.

Hope Kozmo can overcome the nervousness. But like you said, they have so much to offer a little quirk doesn't really matter does it.

Nila is a very handsome bird! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D I just got the DNA results back for Magoo and He's a boy!!! (was that redundant or what????) I guess I'll have to call him Quincy Magoo!

By the way, is that a Hybiscus flower he is munching on?

Flower

Post by Bird crazy »

Yep that's a hibiscus flower. I've got a hedge of them in the front yard.
Nila loves them. I've tried the jasmin and he just drops them immediately. And I have porter weed, a local plant that has blue flowers on it and just drops them too. But hibiscus he will turn over and eat the stem end and drink the nectar and then he plays with the petals before discarding it.

So Magoo is a boy. Nila too. But from what I've been reading he sure acts like a girl. Squats down, puts his head back and goes into this little trance and coos while I pet him.

Thanks for the feedback. I think Nila is beautiful too. But so are Magoo and Birdius too.
