Ricci update

Well we have had Ricci for 2 or 3 weeks now and she is going great guns! Well with my partner she is! It seems the better she gets with him the worst she gets with me - she actually drew blood from my finger last night in addition to pecking my head! When she first arrived she wouldnt step or even go near arms/fingers, but she is now stepping up nicely onto Phils hand! She still does the "i love you" dance to him at every opportunity, in addition to making a noise like chicken laying an egg!
Tonight she had her first shower (with Phil of course!) and she LOVED it! opened her wings and got drenched! Then sat on curtain rail under heat lamps to dry! She did however get off Phils shoulder onto mine tonight - for the sole purpose of pooping!

sorry but i cant help laughing.indie started of that i discovered him in the pet shop and i got aaron to go and have a look at him,aaron said i could get him to make me happy,and guess what indie is aarons best friend.they seem to have favourite people.i mostly bribe indie with some strawberries or something that i know will get him away from aaron.

Yeah but knowing my luck Phil will end up with two birds! lol
Whats the go with having two? Do most of you have 2? Are they happier with a mate?

She has two...I would only say go without him to the store and see if any birds come to you.

Haha Dani - good idea! Last night my dad came over, and Ricci stepped straight up onto his finger - if I go near her she bites and looks angry! She is such a flirt!
I have decided I would reeeeeeeeaallllly like a male Eclectus, actually I always have wanted one.........alas I found one for sale yesterday for $1200, so not really anywhere NEAR what I can afford

*giggles* Man ekkies are great! I hate it that they are so danged expensive. I sure hope you can find that dream ekkie...I was so lucky to have found mine. Maybe you can save up for one
