Hello from Massachusetts

Just a quick hello to introduce myself. My husband and I purchased an IRN about 2 1/2 months ago from a local pet supply store. We had been eyeing this bird for about 8 months. Needless to say, the bird had come from another store as they had no luck selling her. It was the same situation at this store and the employees had pretty much given up on her. Hubby and I (being the pet lovers that we are) decided to negotiate with the manager and we ended up bringing Cricket home about a week later. She is a beautiful yellow with the orange beak and we are assuming she is a girl due to the lack of the black ring around her neck. Someone had done a hack job trimming her wings, but they have grown back in now. Cricket is a very shy girl, but hopefully with patience, perseverance and any help we can get from members here, she will be a happy, content girl.

We are bird owners and we have had all of our present birds between 8-12 years. They are a Quaker, a parrotlet, a rescue Tiel (his mate died about a year ago), and two budgies.

Best wishes Cindy. Glad you didn't pay full asking price. I have such an issue with pet stores.

Thank you MissK, I feel the same way regarding pet stores!
