I was just wondering if Kalle is a quiet IRN or if they doesn´t scream much?? He can scream if he know I´m at home and hasn´t let him out of his cage. And if he get´s to tired but otherwise he doesn´t scream.

When and how often does your IRN scream?? How loud is it?? When Kalle scream it can be VERY loud

Prinny isn't normally a screamer...she 'beeps'...I dunno if that helps. She makes this high pitched BEEP...and of course chatters away

Chook doesn't scream much either. Only if he thinks hes being ignored and wants some attention, but usually he's pretty quiet.

I had never heard a sound from fiona until I brought her home. She'll whistle once very quick to call for me and that's only been three times. When I got her wings clipped, she sqwacked, but again, it wasn't that loud. When she tries to fly she makes a pigeon noise(also very quiet). She is the perfect apt. bird!

Well I've got a screamer! Screams morning, day and night. Usually when she gets left alone she quietens down but otherwise drives us nuts!! Is climbing on my desk right now screaming! Think yourself lucky I say.

Bebe coos, clicks, chirps, whistles, growls, does a funny vocalization (with an eye pin/flash a body stretch and a wing flutter) when a bird of prey, or a plane passes overhead or a loud sound such as a lawn mower or truck passes; but he doesn't scream or screetch.

Lou screetches when he wants out of his cage and he can't , ie i have company or he wants attention. I'll put it this way, if i have a headache it's like nails on a chalkboard to me. Thankfully he doesn't do it all that much

Smokey screaches when he is letting himself heard. He screams at me when I tell him its bedtime. It is very loud when he does it too. Usually when he makes noises he sounds like a rubber duck  If he is telling me off for something he is really really loud and he manages to growl too.

Carrie baby I feel your pain! I too have screamers! Morning, noon, and night! That's what they do! I'm trying to convince myself that this is a sound I need to love as this is them being happy and vocalizing. But on a stressful day it is like nails on a chalk board. And how do you ask a bird to be quiet? Doesn't happen. So all of you who don't have a loud bird, please enjoy the silence for those of us who do. Cuz boy it can be deafening! And I kid you not, it's like the minute I'm on the phone they will scream, scream, SCREAM.

OMG Jen tell me about it! When she is quiet I have to wonder what is going on! I hate to say it but when she goes to bed it's like, phew, peace at last. We have tried everything including ignoring her but man, it's REALLY hard to ignore her when she's been going all day. I too feel your pain......

Carrie right now NONE of my birds are making a sound. And I have to wonder what the heck is going on. That's very unusual. But they are all on their cages and just chilling. This is a very rare moment. And I'm enjoying it to no end cuz Lord only knows when one of them will start and then the others join in. Poor us Carrie! They are so lucky we are so in love with them. I know what you mean by trying to ignore, sometimes they just make you want to rip your hair out. And I swear when Remmi's going you look at him and he looks content as can be just sitting on the door of his cage SCREAMING away. I know he's just talking, but we need to use our indoor voice!

Our poor ears!
Hugs,
Jen

Mazzie screams, but she is very demanding by nature.

If Buddy screams I always go look, he never does unless something is really wrong and upsetting him. Of course, in his eyes wrong is simply another bird walking across the floor, but thats ok because they arent supposed to do that LOL.

Alice screams at night to be let out, which she hates waiting for. She gets to play in the bedroom until bedtime. That way I can be sure all doors are closed etc... and none of the bigger birds are in here.

Sage lost her last home from screaming, she nearly got them evicted, but she rarely screams here. Lots of cooing, and the occasional trash talking to the lovebird who she can see out the back of her cage, but not much screaming at all.

Homer hasnt screamed yet ;)

I too have a screamer and boy does he scream. I live in an apartment block on the second floor and can hear him from the street so i totally understand. I have tried ignoring it but that only made it worse and i thought that once i left him alone and went out it would stop but he does it when i am not here also. I am hoping and praying its only a faze.

kiki makes a laser gun noise,is that screeching, she also chatters away a lot and sounds like a kitten at times, she sounds like she is saying clever girl and if you say it she says it back. She can get loud at times when she is chatting and you respond and she gets louder and louder then does her laser gun noise and then looks at you with the little tilted head as if did i do that.

my dude will only make noise around sunrise, since my room faces east, in the afternoon, and sometimes around night time. It is a combo of him chatting or making bird calls to locate others but not too loud. He also whines when i tell him to step up and my hand is too far away, he hates excercise!!

Cricket screams at me when he sees me prepare food and if I dare to pay attention to my kids or am on the phone. It makes for a very noisy household when I have visitors too!
