Hello to all....

Good Morning everyone,
Just want to say how great it is to find a board specifically for ringnecks. I would have to say without the internet I would be lost of what type of bird to buy and have no knowledge of what I was getting our family into.
Anyhow we've just brought home our new addition Merlin to the family he/she is a blue and is just over 9 weeks old. Not sure if I want to do the DNA testing as it really doesn't matter to me but don't want to call the bird and "it" for two years
Looking forward to sharing and reading up as much as I can.

Welcome to the family Sheri and Merlin
ya don't have to call your baby it .. just call it baby or sweetie or such, to the bird itself (eg. Good Bird ! .. or Good Baby !) .. and on the boards we usually, like you did put s/he etc. until the ring comes in .. or not!

Welcome to the family! A 9 week old baby IRN! Must be so cute. PICTURES are a MUST! So if you can please take some and post! We just love to see everyone's babies. Please make sure to post often! Jeez there is so much to read...and such good help for a first time IRN owner.
We also have a 2 year old lutino budgie Honey, and a netherland dwarf rabbit strawberry who is now 10. My daughters budgie died last fall his name was cotton candy so when naming Merlin I put my foot down and said no food names this time around
Off to look at more photos and learn more from all the postings in the past.
