My Baby (pics added)!!!!

Post by Mikaela »

Hey Ya'll:

My baby graduated last night. So bittersweet. Too young to go away to college so he is staying with me 2 more yrs and going to the University of South Florida. Its right down the road... can't let him go yet... working very hard on that though.

I have pictures I took, of course the professional ones arent back yet so these arent great by any means, however I want ya'll to be a part of it! Way too many to post and I could never pick and chose. Havent had the chance to edit or anything. Sowwy. I just resized them, as of now.

If you'd like to view the album, PM or post your e-mail addy and I'll bring it over... have some coffee.

Love ya

congrats !! darlin

I hear ya !

My eldest is starting her second year of VCE next year and then she has finished Secondary College. She has grand plans of moving to Melbourne to attend University, which I am so pleased about, but its 2 hours away. Comfort is, most of our extended family live in and around Melbourne, still that won't make it any easier when she walks out that door.

Well:

Matthew is different for his age... very mature about everything else BUT sex. He just isnt ready and is OK with that. (Did it once at 15 and was scared to death thinking he may have gotten the girl pregnant and learned his lesson, I reckon)

But YES lord he has sooo many friends and yes mostly girls lol. He is extremely likable, unlike myself.

He was so sweet during graduation trying to help his little girlfriends with walking on their high heels. He had 4 or 5 on each arm so they wouldnt fall.

It was sad that some only got claps from their family so I made a hooo haaa go out to everyone. But when they called Stefan Matthew J.... the whole place came alive with screams, shouts, feet pounding, god you name it. Very popular kid, again, unlike myself. He is shy about it and would rather fade to black but his personality wont allow it.

It made me feel SO good... not that my son was popular or woke the stadium upon his name being called but that he is very loved by many, many people. He has and will touch many lifes. He will contribute to society rather than ripe it apart as the youth of today are doing now. Despite all of that, he is as humble as the day is long and would never consider himself handsome. Or does he?

Easily likable means easier success in life.

If I never live to see another day, I can walk this earth knowing I was successful. God made me a Mama and I have done the very best by him and my children while walking the path he laid out for me.

So, with that being said... if a mama can raise a youngen to contribute to society by being educated and motivated AND be a good person with moral and values these days and ages... you have done your job on earth and hunny.... it aint easy.

I can now rest in knowing I have been successful, despite material posessions and THAT feels really good.

Now, 3-4 more to go and I'll really be proud but the 15 yr old... we have lost. I spend my days trying to 'find' him and get him to watch his older brother but no.... he wants it hard and hard is how he makes life. Respectful but totally different when not around me. The school showed me video and I bout died but thats another topic.

Amen Mikaela! Girl you can preach it! And preach it good! We're all very proud of Matthew! Tell him that. And I'll bet he would just sh** a brick if he knew Mama was chattin it up on the board about him! Or that she posted pics. of him. Tee hee! Proud Mom! And so you should be. I can't imagine that feeling of knowing that you created this person and led him down the right path to being a successful human being. A caring human being! What a tremendous feeling that must be! Congrats to you both!

Hugs,
Jen
