re: why does my new bird "attack" paintings?

as i've posted in several areas, i'm a new bird owner. my baby is just 3 months old and i just got him almost a week ago.
my boyfriend is an artist and we have paintings all over our house.
when the bird was out walking on the floor he passes several paintings.
he went up to each one, put himself against it and flapped his wings - almost as if he were trying to fly INTO the paintings!
i'm wondering if he did this because he liked them or because they upset him and he was trying to "attack" them.
does anyone have any idea?
