new chicks

hello guys
my pair have 2 chicks now they r about 45 days old
the oldest1(1 day dif) came out of the nest yesterday first time
n it doesnt look like it wanna go back in there...
when the2nd chick cms out
if it doesnt wanna go back in nest like the other one
should i remove the nest from the cage?
also at what age they will start eatin seeds/veg/etc at their own
