ALL BY HERSELF!!!!!!

I think the trick to getting her to come out of her shell was to get rid of the male!!!! Yesterday she JUMPED at me, I kinda freaked because she has only bit me every single time I have ever been near her!!! but she started clicking and she put her head down to be petted!!!!!!!! I was so excited I told her what a good girl she was and gave her some bits of yummies from the yummy bucket! (our misc treat container for all the small furry/feather friends)
She sat in the doorway of her cage for about 10 minutes clicking to me while I put in new toys/perches for her. Then she jumped on a stick I held out to her, still not using my hand and she walked over to my hand and sat there! then I put her back into her cage because she was being so good I didn't want her to get any ideas hahaha cross fingers today she comes out for a little bit longer!! :) it's so nice to be able to show her affection and have her return some! oh yeah...she also gave a kiss!!! maybe that's what her clicky noise is...my conure did that when he was giving kisses...since Ravi hasn't been handled all that much without freaking out I have no idea what she's like!! I still don't trust her to NOT bite...but she is being very gentle right now.

Just wanted to update you all on her progress :) I cannot get over how quiet she is...this morning the bell rang at 6am (20 mins ago) and I haven't heard a peep from her. just the nasty crows outside!! she will be quiet almost all day...sometimes late in the day she will squawk a bit but it usually last like 10 seconds then she's quiet again until something happens, like the cat jumping on the table, then she lets loose, so she's a great alarm for me!

I'm off to go give her breakfast and then off to work :( it's such a beautiful day I dont want to work!! Have a great day everyone!

yes it is awesome when she finally does something to show that hard work has been paying off :)

she did her little trance thing again...the eyes start pinning and she puts her head down and clicks! I gave her dried fruit as a treat and she loved it! in the morning I've been making her a veggie/fruit mix, kinda stinks but she loves it! so now she expects something in the morning, which is good, because she comes out of the cage while I feed the animals and she does her own thing :)

we're moving this friday, so hopefully she takes it well!!
