just want some opinions...
I don't want to breed my girl. though she would probably have nice offspring! but she is 14 years old or so...aprox!

the fellow I gave my male to said that he wants to trade my female to someone in toronto who wants to breed her, and he inturn would get lovebirds. ok well she is my bird...so I kinda would want something in trade instead of lovebirds lol like a baby IRN! LOL
but I think she's too old to be breeding. plus she has almost killed a male IRN before and I don't want them to come back and want to be refunded for an expensive bird!!!

but incase I do sell her and someone out of the blue decides to breed her...is she too old? she is in good health except her feet worry me some...as soon as I have some $$'s I'll be taking her in for a health check up

Only you can determine if a baby IRN would be a good trade for your current bird. Depends how much you think your pet is worth. You can get a tamed baby IRN for as low as $75. Come back to Alameda and I will hook you up, lol.

A friend of mine who is an experienced breeder and pet owner tells me that it is difficult for pets to transition to breeding especially if they haven't been with other IRNs. Somehow they think they are humans especially those that have bonded with their owners.

Along with any other IRNs, they are individuals and there is never any guarantee that they will breed.

she's not tame at all!! and she has tried to kill before...so I would NOT personally breed her...I'd be afraid it'd come back to bite me lol the breeder might want money for her killing the male!!!

seriously....when I come back to Alameda...I'd like to meet you and see your IRNS!! we're planning a trip this summer...who knows maybe we'll get a baby sometime and 75...WOW!!!! IRNS here go for a minimum of 2000$!!!!!! at least those are the ones I see in the pet shops around here haha a breeder is always the way to go though, i don't believe in buying from pet stores unless they are buying from good breeders!

yes I agree with the difficulty in being a pet to a breeder...I've had it happen with a grey before.

She's a lutino, red beak, nice white claws...she's very pretty! very very bright yellow too...like stunning yellow! I've seen some dull yellow ones, but I really like her colour!

She's never laid any eggs before, never showed interest in building a nest or mating...so who knows, maybe she's just not interested!!
