problem with feet? or head?

I've noticed lately that Ravi is having issues with her feet...they don't seem to move when she wants them to! she has been spending a lot of time nesting as well on the bottom of her cage...but she will be gripping a perch, then want to move to another and she starts to go, then nothing...she will sit there and scream at her feet, she pulls at her toes with her beak and then waits, then starts to move...I'm wondering if she's a bit slow in the head!! she has circulation in her feet, they move fine when she does move them and she has an excellent grip...anyone have any ideas? maybe arthritis? I do think she's slow in the head though haha some of the things she does just don't seem right for a bird!! she's quite healthy otherwise.

i dont know too much about these things but have read about birds getting sore feet from dowl perches. what type of perch is in the cage. there is a thread on here that discusses perches and sore feet.just go to the search feature.

she has a few wooden ones, rope perches, concrete and all different sizes to keep her feet from getting used to one width. yeah was reading thru posts

awesome!! Ilove lories
I need to get some pics!! once Ravi is tame enough to handle, I'll post something!!
I actually had her out of the cage without too much damage done to my hands this time...for an entire year I couldn't get her out of the cage without using a towel...and even then she'd freak out so much I put her back...I even tried opening the door. but she was too afraid. I hate it when people abuse birds!!!!! but today...I took her out and she bit me 3 times only!! and we played the ladder game and she did pretty good. though her feet don't seem to always work the way she wants them. it could be from lack of understanding or something. it has been awhile since she's been around people without freaking out. now she's mostly currious, yet still fearful. she's a fear biter!! and boy does it ever hurt!!! I refused to put her down until she stopped bitting, and as soon as she stopped I put her down, and she was like oh! got it hehe right now she's sitting in a time out cage LOL letting her settle down a bit before putting her back into the main cage. I took her away from her cage and it seems to improve her temperment a lot when she's away and somewhere 'different'
will post photos soon
