Here's some video I just took today of Remmi. Does this seem male or female in nature?? Any ideas? Let me know if you think you know. Thanks you guys.....

Hugs,
Jen

PS I want Remmi to be a boy!!! But I guess what I want really doesn't matter at this point in time. Tee hee.

PSS The panting in the back ground isn't a pervert....it's our dog Smokey.

*sighs* I think you're right with your predictions on a girl. That little hen clucking and the bowing...shout out girl but you never know until you DNA test...

I am on dial up so i only watched the first video. Remmi isn't giving much away but from the first video i would say Remmi is a boy. The way he was jumping around and standing tall while pinning the eyes, looks like Remmi is practising his mating dance
When i have a bit more time i will check out the other vids

Not a whole lot of clues there. Both my hens and my male make that grouping of noises, its kind of a general chatter. I'd give it a few months, da baby is still young yet.

Ya know, I knew Buddy was a boy because his ring began coming in at only nine months old? No joke... he had a serious black ring at nine months. None of the chin feathers, nor the mustache, no pink, but lots of black.

Well thanks guys for watching and giving me your opinions! I don't know why I want Remmi to be a boy. But I really do! Esp. since my Byndi is a girly girl. But if Remmi is a girl too I'll be ok. I just loves the little onery one so much! I'll keep videoing him and try to give you some more hints.

Hugs,
Jen

I will have to get video of Kai and his mating dance, and even Jordan. They have a very definate strong hop hop hop, arch the head pin the eyes and wobble the head left to right like a snake slithering. They pick a spot or an object and hop all the way around it in a circle, tapping and quacking/squaking, then arch their heads and wobble them around the spot or object with their wings bowed out and pinning thier eyes.

I have never heard my boys make that sqeaky baby noise but as Athena said, she has heard both do it. And the only thing remmy did that was remotely boy was the bowing of the wings, but I have seen Datsun do that too in Chamons vids. Soooo sorry unless Remmi starts really jumping and prancing, you just can't miss it, then your gonna have to wait it out or test. pssst .. I wanted Jordan to be a girl, but I am pretty damn sure s/he is a he.

Only because she pushes her beak across the ground do I want to say boy. Other than that, she is very female.

To young to tell. Im finding it takes til about a yr old to establish behaviors that gives us pretty good clues.
