well im happy to say my colony breeding has been successful so far..i have 2 hens nesting and two babies hatched (from one hen ) i have 12 birds housed in a 30ft x 4ft long aviary and im hoping for more success next year as i have 2 2013 hens that im hoping will lay next year...they have both been in boxes this year but no eggs....im wandering if they are copying this nesting behaviour from the two mature hens as they so young ...fingers crssed more babies will hatch this week...and hopefully from my lutino hen...i cant see as she is always in there, so there may already be chicks :D

Any updates? Also what do you think would happen if I was to allow my two to keep there young after they were able to fend for them selves? My aviary is 3m x 1.7 m and 2 m high.
