I was surfing the web this morning and came accross this picture on Chris Whipps web site . The bird seems to be Tienies bird .

My question is this
How has this bird coloured up after the moult , I am interested as I have also recieved a bird with similar markings on him although he has a faded bar on the body , his flights still have the baring effect and the tail also still shows bars .

Can someone please tell me what is causing the bar effect

Tienie do you still have your bird and how is the colour holding after the 18 month moult

Mad max the very noticeable barring it somewhat baffling I cannot explain it however it would be nice if Tinnie could share his thoughts as he has more knowledge of this type of bird with the barring on it . Nice Bird
