I just bought a baby ringneck a few days back. It's my second time with baby birds, the first being with sparrows I rescued from some local kids. The thing is, he poops a LOT . And while that may not be a problem, his poop gets stuck to the matting (currently I use jade strings), and it then clumps on to his skin.
He's only a couple of weeks old, and I'm scared to peel it off in case it damages his skin. Any ideas?
Thanks
How to remove crusted poop from my baby ringneck's leg?

I don't know the full situation .. and i have no experience with little birds.. but maybe a little warm water would help... set the bird down in about a half inch of luke warm water.. or take a wet cloth.. soft cloth and just hold it on the leg for a few seconds.. after that the stuff should just come off

If he cannot be handled, soak with a spray bottle, add a drop of glycerin to the water as this will soften it and take it off easier.
